Why this site is not a resume

There is already a place for the formal version of me. It has the companies, the titles, the dates, and the expected shape of a professional history. That is what LinkedIn is for.

This site is here for a different reason. I wanted somewhere to keep the patterns that stayed with me after the work was done. Not the polished summary. Not the career arc. Just the observations that kept repeating until they felt worth naming.

Over time I noticed that I was less interested in listing what I had done and more interested in understanding what the work had changed in me. Operations changed how I make decisions. Infrastructure changed how I think about reliability. Leadership changed how I think about language, ownership, and friction. AI changed the kinds of tools I now reach for, but not the basic habit underneath it.

So I do not want this site to become another professional profile. If it does that, it stops being useful to me. I would rather it stay selective, a little quieter, and more exploratory than complete.
